What kinds of portraits can I get done?
I feel like the answer to that question would be "What would you like to have done?"
I don't claim to be the first person to create family portraits in this kind of medium but I do feel I have my own style (that I hope you like as well!).
To the right you can see a Pinterest board I started a while ago with some amazing other creatives and designs they've done. I also found a Facebook group where everybody is willing to give constructive criticism, offer praise and brainstorm solutions. The community of other stitch people creators is welcoming, helpful and so talented, it's fantastic to be able to get ideas and inspiration from them.
But in regards to occasions where you're looking for a customised gift, the possibilities are endless. For example:
- House warming
- Anniversary gift
(in the UK, the first anniversary gift is cotton. In the USA, the 2nd anniversary gift is. So if you're into that thing, it just seems perfect!) - Arrival of a baby/adopted kid
- Birthday gift
- Mother's/Father's/Grandparent's Day
- Graduation
- Wedding gift
- Pregnancy announcement
- Bar/Bat mitzvah (with something repeated 18 times as an embellishment)
- Pet remembrance
- Remembering family holidays
I mean, the only limit is your imagination.
If I haven't done a design of something you're considering, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm against it. I'm still just currently building up my examples! So opening a dialouge -either through my site or through my Etsy store- is highly recommended. I'd love to hear from you.
