We Finally Got Our Newest Pet - Meet Archie!

Introducing Archie

Since… well… it feels like forever, my husband and I have missed having a dog in the family. Before we moved to America, we used to have a beautiful Japanese Spitz dog. He was so awesome and we loved him so much. Unfortunately, our move was [supposed] to only be for 3 years where we were to return to Australia after (so we rehomed him with friends of family because the move was going to be too much, especially immigration back to Australia for pets), but my husband changed jobs and … long story short; we're here and on our way to a green card 😁

So, since we knew renting a home with dog(s) would be difficult (having 2 cats was hard enough!) we knew we had to wait until we purchased a home before we could consider bringing a puppy back into our lives.
Well, we did just that! Since we bought our first home back in June, we went on the hunt to get the perfect doggo.

My husband has always, always wanted a Siberian Husky dog, but living in Australia and then in California, it didn't feel well suited, climate-wise, to own one.

But now we live in Washington!

So we found a good breeder that we clicked with, we got on their wait list and that's how we ended up, 5 months later, with Archie.

We've had him for almost 3 weeks now and it's been a lot of sleepless nights and house-training accidents. The girls adore him, my husband and I think he's so gorgeous and the cats are not particularly fond of him - especially Zoe!
He is really good at self soothing (sometimes on the wrong things, but still!) and tomorrow he has his very first puppy class to help me (to help him) as well as introduce some socialisation into his little world. I hope he has a blast!

So welcome to the family, little Archie-boy. I hope you stop mouthing everything in sight soon (especially my kids and husband!) and you realise your crate is a neat place to be 😘
